I also own AMP Performance in Mobile. I have competed at CrossFit Regionals, and have podiumed in both team and elite individual divisions at Beach Brawl, where Games competitors compete each year! I started AMP with 6 KBs and 5 barbells, training 3 kids in the back of a flooded warehouse and have built that into a 20k sqft building with 100+ bars, varying styles of machines, rigs and more! I’ve trained 10+ state championship teams, pro athletes, Pro Strongmen, Team USA members and much more in 5+ years. My goal for CrossFit Saraland is to grow it into the best CrossFit gym not only in Saraland but in all of Mobile!

Why CrossFit: CrossFit gives me the challenge, intensity, and push that I need to reach my functional fitness, strength and health goals. It has a way of driving me to my breaking point of physical and mental pain, which I experience humbleness, respect and challenges my will to never quit. Through Crossfit each day I am becoming stronger and healthier than I have ever been in my life, and beside fitness alone, I get to work alongside some of the best people you could ever meet, that have the same will to push for gains.

Why CrossFit: I originally joined CrossFit in 2017 because I wanted to get in shape for my wedding. I started to see my body change and quickly fell in love with the sport. 3 years later, it has now become my daily structured playtime. I love the atmosphere of a CrossFit gym and look forward to the high energy-pain/suffering that it brings to my life each day!

Fav Wod: Anything with a barbell... Give me something like DT and Grace any day. 
Least Fav Wod: Not a huge fan of dubs or rope climbs. Anything else is fair game and I’ll just suffer through it.
Eating Style: I approach my nutrition like I do most of my life- cautiously optimistic. 🤪 I eat with good intentions, but I’m human like the rest of us. Huge fan of macros when I get my mind right.
Splurge: Mexican (if you know me, you know this is an important part of my life— tacos and tequila fuel this Mom bod). Pizza is a close second and anything sweet, except chocolate. I’m an all vanilla kinda girl.

Respected WODKilla: Kara Saunders! Homegirl balances training, being a mom and a Boss B and does it so well. I wanna be her when I grow up. Dani Speegle is way up there too. Just cause I have a girl crush on her and she represents us thick girls in the pack.
Favorite WOD Song: Anything that fits my mood that day. If we are lifting heavy, it better be angry. If we are WODin out, gimme all the hip hop and good beats ya got.

Favorite Quote: Pain is just weakness leaving the body.
Why CrossFit:  Man... why not? As an athlete all my life, I craved competition and community in my adult life. I walked into my first box scared to death and intimidated. Nearly 5 years later, I’ve found it was the best decision of my life. I’ve pushed myself to limits I never thought possible and achieved some pretty cool things along the way. I’ve met some of my best friends who are more like family now that support me and encourage my growth in more than just the gym walls. Plus I like to think I’m kinda fit now so that helps too.

Why CrossFit:  Crossfit has made me a better version of myself. I get to compete every day to be better than yesterday. I get to push my body and mind to limits that I never knew I was capable of. It’s overall challenging &  rewarding. I am thankful for the impact it’s had on my life. It’s brought me new friendships & allowed me to help others. Crossfit has not just made me stronger physically, but mentally as well.

Eating Style: macros with Geena! Just trying to be healthy
Splurge: hot chips, chocolate, easter Cadbury eggs (minis and creme). And to get my nails done! 

Respected WODKilla: I just really started watching others during this last CrossFit open so I don’t know a lot outside of my gym. But I love to watch Bri Crimm compete. She’s so tiny and can do so much! But I love all my girls at the gym. They all work so hard and I look up to them. They are all great motivators for me to want to do better. 

Favorite WOD Song: I can’t think of one but I do love a good christian song that can be a work out song, like you can’t stop me 

Favorite Quote: the way I see it, if you want the rainbow you have to put up with the rain. 

Why CrossFit: I needed someone to keep me focused and doing things out of my comfort zone and push me, I was just doing cardio and to keep my weight off. But now I LOVE MY CROSSFIT FAMILY and that keeps me coming back.
